In line with the planned activity to support the Police training school to facilitates their activities, WAPCAS has donated 15 laptops, 14 printers ,14 projectors to the Ghana Police Service to help them in their operations.
The donation was done by the Executive Director of WAPCAS; Mrs. Comfort Asamoah-Adu on behalf of the management of WAPCAS under the NFM II Project and were received by Deputy IGP Mr. James Oppong Boanuh
The computers and its accessories, procured under the Global Fund Project, would be distributed to the seven police training schools in the country to facilitate their activities.
PLHIV faces high levels of stigmatization and there is the need to work with the personnel of the service who are custodian of the law, by training them to protect such people. Because this prevents PLHIV from seeking services from health facilities.
The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr James Oppong Boanuh, who received the items on behalf of the GPS commended the management of WAPCAS for the kind gesture, stating that it would go a long way to help the police in their activities.
